Susan Frankel studied painting and drawing at
The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where she earned
a BFA in 1976 and an MFA in 1979. Susan taught painting and drawing
to undergraduates at SAIC from 1989 to 1997, also serving on
graduate critique panels. She also taught at Elmhurst College
as a Visiting Artist in 1994. Her work has been shown in numerous
exhibitions throughout Chicago and she is collected nationally.
In December of 2009 her work was featured in
Manifest Drawing Annual: INDA 2008 http://www.manifestgallery.org/nda/inda2008/index.html
“Here To There” will be a one-person show covering selected works done over the last 25 years at Elmhurst College in the Spring of 2013.
